Too many tops in CO?

So I follow ManHUNT on Twitter and whoever does the posting over there (I’m gonna assume it’s a man) often has some pretty interesting insights. And since we just got a post with a lovely color-coded US map, I thought this was very fitting. Apparently Denver is a top-heavy town.

This goes right along with my good (top) friend’s observation that all the boys he keeps meeting and going out with on Connexion keep turning out to be tops. That’s true for me too. It does, however, fly in the face of all anecdotal evidence I’ve ever heard at JR’s and Tracks…hmmm

I wonder if the Sword will bring their Craigslist study to Denver.

CO passes law to ban texting whilst driving

We know how queers love them some text-messaging so you should probably be aware of a new law signed on Monday.  Via the Denver Post:

Gov. Bill Ritter signed into law Monday a bill to make it a crime to send text messages — including e-mails and tweets — while driving. The new law will prohibit anyone younger than 18 from using a cellphone at all while driving.

The bill’s legislative sponsors applauded the signing as a step forward for public safety in Colorado, but at the same time, they lamented that the bill does not more aggressively deal with cellphone usage while driving. When first introduced, the bill would have also required adult drivers to use hands-free devices when talking on cellphones while driving. It was changed after meeting opposition from Republicans and some Democrats.

The law takes effect Dec. 1. Violations will be considered a Class A traffic infraction, punishable by a fine of $50 for a first offense and $100 on a second offense.

So I’ve recently found myself addicted to twitter (I actually stopped writing this post so I could check it). That along with my well documented addiction to blogs and internet porn have led to a lot of sleepless nights lately. Every once in a while I come across something I just cant keep to myself.

 

 

I’m seriously considering this for my next career move. But I bet there’s a rule agains sex in the office.

So the gay pimp has done it again. he already had a sexy party in NY, a hilarious tv show on logo, and a huge international following because of his podcast. Now he’s got a web series on youtube too. Gay Juice is the first video. I needed some of that when I was in high school.

 

imperial court fever

if you haven’t been living under a rock, you know that coronation is coming up next weekend. i wrote about it already in april events but i had to write about it again cause it’s actually a series of events that have pretty much taken over my attention

 

 

the big to do is on Saturday the 18th but there are a couple of events before and after. on thursday, the 16th, the courts of Minneapolis and Seattle are hosting a show at Broadways with an afterparty at Boyztown. on friday, other performers from outside denver (reigning monarchs only) will be showing at Mary’s. and on  sunday there is a victory brunch and been bust at the sheridan and BJ’s respectively.

 

so yes, i’ve established that there are lots of court events happening next weekend. it’s gonna be a busy time for our denver girls. and all that stuff’s listed in both community papers and fliers and websites. the thing is, i just got an email from someone encouraging me to vote for one of the candidates for empress…. in my personal inbox! this is serious.

 

it’s a good thing i got the email because i’d forgotten how soon voting was happening. it’s this saturday, the 11th from 11am-6pm in cheesman park. it’s gonna be the event of the week. you should be seen there. check out their pamphlet to get all the info you want.
